Join the Club, Cordis Hong Kong

We have stayed in a lot of hotels in our travels and The Cordis in Hong Kong by far has been one of our favourites.

In fact we would like to go back to Hong Kong just to go to this hotel! Truthfully when we were driving up to the hotel we were a little skeptical because of the surroundings. But once we entered it all changed.

We had Club rooms and were able to go to the Club Lounge to check in, have something to eat and get freshened up in the Gym Bathrooms. We of course arrived early in the morning and did not expect to get our room very early having travelled for 14 hours from Toronto to Hong Kong. But after checking in, showering and eating in the Club Lounge (all part of the Club privileges of course) our rooms were ready. Bonus for this hotel too is that you get a cell phone to use for your time in the city.

We were a family of 4 and had adjoining rooms. It was not large but, very adequate for our stay. The beds were amazingly comfortable and the little touches of Asia were so welcome. Love when they wrap our cords with Cordis branded velcro wraps!

The Club Lounge was probably our favourite part. The breakfast which was all included was outstanding. And in fact, you could eat in the Lounge for most of your meals. Breakfast at the lounge was quite extensive. They had dim sum with a big congee spread, omlettes to order, freshly squeezed juices, bagels and breakfast pastries among other things. They had a pretty amazing lunch and dinner too. So much so that we wondered why we even went out anywhere to eat. Trevor's favourite part was sunset cocktails overlooking the city in the lounge.

But I really think what made the stay spectacular was our last morning there. We were to leave earlier than breakfast started. But the Lounge Manager said it was not a problem and we could order our breakfast. Well when it came it was spectacular. Trevor ordered a boring Western breakfast, but got a toaster for fresh toast. I ordered Egg Benedict, which were outstanding. But Max ordered a traditional Japanese Breakfast and was in heaven and Caelan ordered dim sum. Definitely memorable. Check out our photos.

Our stay there was too short.

Of MurphyCo Note:

Try and get a Club Room. May cost a little extra but you will save money in food and drink. It will be a welcome respite from the hectic pace of Hong Kong.
